Offering words for retirement was the bet of this resident of Chelles. Catherine Glemain creates bouquets of words.

“The idea came to me in 2013 when my uncle retired. I wanted to give him a special gift”, this is how Catherine Glemain, a resident of Chelles, in Seine-et-Marne had the idea of ​​the “Bouquet of words”. “I wanted something personal and aesthetic. »

It is a table, grouping together a set of words, offered on a particular occasion, for example, a retirement, a wedding or a birth…

Collaborative work

“It is a collaborative work between me and the participants in the giveaway. I ask them all to write me the words that they think best describe the person who will receive the gift or the relationship they have with them,” adds Catherine Glemain.

According to the designer, the bouquet of words can group the words of sixty people. “I receive an order from a group. I am creating a private website where giveaway participants can answer questions. This allows the collection of words,” explains the designer.

She creates tables of words.

50 paintings sold in 2021. After a few weeks of harvesting and design, the Bouquet of Words is delivered. “It is always with great emotion that the participants offer the painting,” says the business manager.

It is she who finances her project with her savings and in the long term, Catherine Glemain wishes to be able to live from it. “What I like about my job is being able to convey emotions between people. »
